Sheboatin' and Shebikin' Pedal Tours

What is Shebikin'?

It’s a 15-person pedal powered vehicle with a licensed conductor in the captain’s seat. Shebikin' is perfect for pub crawls, birthday celebrations, bachelor/bachelorette parties, company outings, sightseeing, themed nights out- the possibilities are endless! A minimum of 6 people pedaling is necessary to power Shebikin'. You can bring your own alcohol on Shebikin', up to 36 ounces per person allowed on board.


What is Sheboatin'?

Sheboatin' is perfect for, birthday celebrations, bachelor/bachelorette parties, company outings, sightseeing, themed nights out- the possibilities are endless! A minimum of 6 people pedaling is necessary to power Sheboatin'. You can bring your own alcohol on Sheboatin' however no hard liquor or glass allowed.


How many people can ride Shebikin' at a time?

15 total people- 6 to a side, 3 sitters on back bench


How many people can ride Sheboatin' at a time?

The boat can only hold so many pounds of weight so depending on weight the number of people can vary, up 8-10 people are allowed.


What all is included in the price?
The price covers the rental cost for Shebikin' or Sheboatin' for the two hour tours. On Shebikin' we make 3-4 stops throughout the downtown Sheboygan area. On Sheboatin', we'll cruise Elkhart Lake and enjoy the beautiful lake and scenery.

Where does Shebikin' stop and for how long?
There are 3 designated routes to choose from. Let your driver know where you'd like to stop or ask for suggestions. Most groups stop at three spots for about 20 minutes each. For Mixin' Meet we will make stops based on the group aboard. Some people prefer to stay on board the whole tour and that's just fine.

How do I fill out the waiver?
All Shebikin' passengers are required to complete our waiver in person prior to riding.


How much does it cost?
A private tour has a flat rate of $380 plus tax. Mixer tickets, where you can buy individual seats, are $35 plus tax each for Shebikin' and $45 for Sheboatin'. Special events are charged by the hour- plus a drop-off fee if you need to have it transported to your event. Make sure you book your tour well in advance, as we are often sold out on popular time-slots up to a month in advance!

Tours begin at Craft30 for Shebikin' tours on Michigan Avenue.


Where do we board Sheboatin'?

Tours will pick up at the Osthoff resort near their swimming beach and bar (The Lake Deck). There is a dock for pickup and drop off.


Does Shebikin' have a motor?
No - Shebikin' is pedal-powered fun! If you are hesitant to book due to fitness ability, only ten seats pedal and the other five can relax on non-pedaling seats. However, you should be aware of several tricky hills that can be difficult to ascend for the faint-at-heart.


Does Sheboatin' have a motor? 

Yes - Sheboatin' has two separate ways to power though boat to assist the with propelling the boat through the water.


Can we eat and drink on Shebikin'?
YES! - but you have to follow the rules. NO HARD LIQUOR OR GLASS ALLOWED! Up to 36oz per person! You can bring beer, wine coolers and hard ciders, etc - no glass!!! Bring your own cooler. You are also free to bring food. If you get overly intoxicated during the tour and become a nuisance, you will be asked to get off and the ticket is non-refundable.

Can we decorate Shebikin' or Sheboatin' for our special occasion?
Of course! Be sure to arrive the full 30 minutes in advance of your tour depart time to give yourself enough time to put up the decorations. Our drivers are happy to help with this.

What if it rains?
Shebikin' and Sheboatin' operates rain or shine! If it's going to rain, we recommend bringing rain jackets and/or ponchos. It’s still a lot of fun- think of it as an adventure, plus we have a roof to cover you. 


We only cancel tours if there are unsafe conditions, as described by a national weather advisory. The booking person will be contacted prior to a tour if severe weather is expected. 

Can more than 15 people fit on Shebikin'?
Unfortunately we cannot due to strict local laws. 


Are people under the age of 21 allowed on board?
Yes, but they will not receive a wristband and cannot drink while on board.  Riders under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian present.  The minimum age to ride the Shebikin' is 15. We check ID's for all riders.


What if we need to cancel our reservations?

Cancellations will receive a full refund if cancelled two weeks prior to reservation. No refunds will be given if cancelled within two weekends. Tours may be rescheduled two weeks prior.
